According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, truth is defined as “a statement or idea that is true or accepted as true.” How sad. According to Merriam-Webster, there is no such thing as absolute truth. What does Merriam-Webster know about truth? What is their authority to claim there is no absolute Truth? If Merriam-Webster is right, what a hopeless world we live in, where Truth does not exist.
Fortunately, we do not live in such a world. The risen Son of God claimed to embody Truth. God's Word claims to be Truth. The first piece of the Armor of God (used in spiritual warfare) is the belt of Truth.
What is Jesus' authority in claiming to be and teach Truth? He said it was the fact that he would rise from the dead. Jesus rose from the dead. What is the biblical claim to be the Truth? Fulfilled prophecy. To date, the biblical prophets are batting 1000.
There is Truth. There is hope. Read about it in the Bible. The Word of God.
Never read the Bible? All you need to do is open it, and read a bit every day, always picking up today where you left off yesterday.
