The Bible Does Not Teach a Latter Day Revival

There is much talk of movements of God and "restorations" going on in these last days, with prominent leaders teaching that God is restoring this, and God is restoring that.

Where, in the scripture does it say that there will be a restoration of godliness in the latter days? Such a thing cannot be found.
   It simply is not there.
The Bible says just the opposite. It says there will be a departing from the faith in the latter days.
The Bible speaks about a shaking that will take place. The purpose of which is to shake everything loose that is not firmly connected to The Eternal through Jesus Christ. Only those things which cannot be shaken will remain.
The Bible teaches that in the last days, people will not endure sound doctrine and ungodliness will increase. Any person, prophet, or ministry that teaches there will be restoration of godliness in the last days, is false.
The shaking has been happening for some time. Many who claim to follow Christ are running as fast as they can down the broad, easy, road. In fact, it has turned into a stampede. And some will go over the cliff.
   They will fall away.
   The Bible says they will.
Do not be seduced by the smooth words of those who teach a latter day restoration movement. Do not be seduced by good feelings listening to their teachings or reading what they write. That in itself is an earmark of false doctrine. False doctrine "tickles the ears." That means it sounds really good and can make people feel really good while listening to it, but it does not promote the fruit of the Spirit in the lives of believers.
The Bible does not say that "making us feel good" is the earmark of truth. Truth brings life. Truth brings change for the good. But it doesn't always make us feel good, especially not at first. In fact, it may make us feel really awful at the first.
Repentance is a sorrowful thing. It does not feel good. It is heartbreaking. It is the awful realization of the gravity of our sin against God.
God sent his Son to save us from our sins--first and foremost--not to tickle our ears and make us feel good about ourselves. Jesus, and what he did (and continues to do) for us, is the only thing we have a legitimate right to feel good about.
God, who loves us more than we can imagine, said the best we can do is no better than a menstruous rag (that's a used sanitary napkin to us modern folks). Disgusting isn't it? But that's the language the inspired text uses, so, we need to get off our ego trips and the self-esteem wagon, and get serious about believing the Bible.
The Bible says the danger of falling for every wind of doctrine and the possibility of falling away is very real in these latter days. But if we are doers of the Word, as well as hearers, Jesus promises that our house will stand. We will have the discernment needed to cling so tightly to our Savior that no amount of turbulence or false teaching can shake us loose.
